This is a worrying development - given that the parade passed of peacefully last year, and that the biggest flashpoint of last summer - the Orange Parade through Ardoyne - has not yet happened. Friday night's flashpoint is at the Ardoyne/Twadell Avenue interface. That event led to three days of rioting - with a number of police officers being injured - one seriously - and scores of young rioters being prosecuted as a result of the disorder.
At Fair Cop we are interested in hearing about your experiences of parades, the policing of parades and the tensions that develop over the summer months. Let us know what you think - and your ideas about how we could stop this recurrent problem and cement better relationships between communities, and between communities and the police.
