Lisburn PSP launched a new program in Lisburn in cooperation with the NIHE, PSNI, SEHSC Trust and numerous local communities. The program, Lisburn SAFE (Safer and Friendlier Environments) centres on building positive and safe communities through community development.

A fourth man has been sentenced at Belfast Crown Court today in relation to a 'paramilitary style shooting' in the St James area of West Belfast in July 2010.

Following three reported rapes last week, the BBC has said the total number of reported rapes is now 525 for the year - more than 10 reported rapes a week.

Last week, two teenagers, aged 15 and 17, were arrested in their homes by PSNI officers using anti-terrorism legislation. This week, politicians and human rights group are fighting over whether this was the right thing to do.

UTV are reporting that 15 year-old boy and a 17 year-old girl have been arrested under the Terrorism Act in Derry/Londonderry. They were arrested in the Cityside area in connection with dissident republican activity, and are being questioned at Antrim police station. We will have more as it develops. SEE IT ON UTV.
